Meal Plan Friday 18th January 2019

As always January seems to be taking forever and to add to that its been pretty cold and grey. So we have comfort food and some fresher flavours to try and brighten things up a little

Friday - Portobello Mushrooms with blue cheese burgers for us the boys will have fish, chips and peas

Saturday - Pizza and salad for the boys. We are having Fajitas

Sunday - Sausage casserole in the slow cooker with jackets

Monday - Smoked Salmon Frittata with a beetroot salad and the boys will have tomato soup and crusty bread

Tuesday - Gnocchi with mushrooms and broccoli - this is from the madhouse by Jo Pratt and it is easy and quick

Wednesday - Lamb Burgers with chickpeas. The boys will have lamb burgers

Thursday - Easy Pasta bake - Essentially it is tortellini with a tomato sauce

  2. Oh my Friday sounds good. I am the only one that likes mushrooms in our house and often forget to make them just for me #mealplanningmondays

Mint is trying to take over the garden

I  am trying to tidy the garden up. We are a bit tight for money this month and I want to plant lots of bulbs. Instead I am tidying and keeping busy, let's be honest the garden is a weed haven and a total mess so I have a lot to do. Clearing this border however I have made a very important discovery. That mint is trying to take over the world, one border at a time. Two years ago I planted out a very sad and mainly dead supermarket mint plant. I did not think it was going to survive or the consequences of my naive action. It did survive and it did grow and grow. I then cleared the border down that year and the next it came back stronger. Meal Plan Friday 30th September 2022

 The weather is really starting to turn and we are starting to want some more comfort food. Friday - Pizza as the boys have swimming and we do not have much time Saturday - Sticky Chinese chicken Sunday - Pork medallions with apples and roasts monday - Chicken burgers with cheese and pineapple tuesday - tagaltlli in a cheese sauce with mushrooms and ham wednesday - tuna fishcakes served with green veg and tomato sauce thursday - birthday tea for my middle son of pizza and chips with two friends we will have veggie chilli and rice

Meal Plan Friday 11th March 2022

 Spring seems to be slowly springing into action. The garden much to my delight is coming back to life with the bulbs planted in the autumn about to come into flower. Friday - Sweet and Sour Chicken Saturday - Gammon, Egg and Chips Sunday - Toad in the Hole Monday - Fish, New Potatoes and veggies. Fishcakes for the boys. Tuesday - Chicken Curry Wednesday - Quorn Slices with mash and veggies Thursday - Fajita Pie. Wraps for the boys.
