Meal Plan Friday 5th October 2018

We mainly stuck to the meal plan but we did treat ourselves to a curry midweek as the beef curry was quorn and mainly in tins or veggies could be used in other meals we did not waste any food.

 We have birthdays and play dates this week so it all seems a little crazy...

 Friday - We have a play date for the eldest so its spag bol for all the boys and Mr MC&W and I are having scampi, Chips and Peas

 Saturday - Its a birthday treat lunch and then nachos for Mr MC&W and I whilst watching strictly. The boys will have picnic dinner.

 Sunday - Honey and Mustard Chicken for Mr MC&W and I, the boys have requested sausages, beans and mash

 Slow cooker honey mustard chicken thighs

 Monday - Leek, mushroom and goats cheese tart for the adults and a tuna tart for the boys. It will be based on the below but with puff pastry

 Leek mushroom and-goats-cheese-strudels

 Tuesday - A play date for the middle boy and they will all have pizza, chips and I will attempt salad. We will have simple omelet and chips

 Wednesday - Meatballs and spaghetti for us all

 Thursday - Fish in a sauce with roasted veg and new potatoes for us all. This will be a freezer one I can throw in the oven and let it cook.

    Wow, that's a busy week, and a great menu plan. You've just reminded me about spaghetti and meatballs - I have some of those in the freezer, I think ! :)

Planting LolliPop Trees Elaeagnus ebbingei

I can not believe the day had finally arrived, the trees we had put so much thought into were going to be planted. We had the conifer and last shrubs removed and the whole area dug over and ready for the arrival of the LolliPop Trees Elaeagnus ebbingei. Finding Elaeagnus Ebbingei Area cleared and ready for the trees I was on the school run when they arrived. Bulb Rescue

Plants amaze me all the time, this morning I was tidying up and found a upturned pot. Under the pot I found bulbs that had fallen out but had started to grow leaves. They had no soil and still, these plucky little bulbs were wanting to grow. No soil and abandoned  Growing with no soil So I have attempted a rescue mission using things I could quickly find. I found a little old terracotta pot and some stones. Old Pot Few stones I had no compost (shocking I know) but I did have a huge molehill, so I grabbed some soil from that and filled the pot just over half full. Did you have a good day?

I decided to write this post as a Mummy of a little boy who is on the Autism Spectrum  and has very limited speech and understanding, I wanted to give a glimpse into our world. He had been for a school trip to a small local airport and this is the story of collection and journey home.... As I walked through the door I almost heard the sigh of relief from the teachers, "Mummy is here" was said in that slightly high pitched tone mixing happy and stress all at the same time. OB runs towards me shouting Mummy then collapsed on the floor just by my feet telling me "I want yo see  animals and go to Legoland". OK I think to myself here we go, I bent down to his level and said in that slight high pitched fake happy tone that it was time to get into Mummy's car, but he was getting distressed the word Lego was being said repeatedly.
