Meal Plan Friday 6th July a two week plan

It is official I have been rubbish with the meal plans over the last few weeks. I have not enjoyed planning food and we have been so busy time has flown by and I have not had time to write them up. 

Here we go a two week special for you

Friday 6th  - Pizza and chips for us all

Saturday 7th - Fajitas for Mr MC&W and Chicken Curry for the boys

Sunday 8th - Sausage Casserole 

Monday 9th - Gnocchi with Mushrooms and Broccoli this is a meal from the madhouse cookbook and is so easy and quick

Tuesday 10th - Spinach and mint frittata from Gino healthy Italian cookbook

Wednesday - Pizza for us all

Thursday - Stuffed red peppers another one from Gino Healthy Italian cookbook

Friday - Scampi for us and fish fingers for the boys served with chips and peas

Saturday - Spag Bol for us the boys are having a McDonald's as a treat for doing so well with their school reports.

Sunday - Ready meal for us and spag bol for the boys

Monday - Mustard Salmon with beets and lentils for us s
using our own beets. Tuna fishcakes and salad for the boys

Tuesday - Need to use up some pesto so Tortellini with pesto and broccoli. the boys will have tortellini with a homemade tomato sauce

Wednesday - Neapolitan rice salad from Gino Healthy Italian. The boys will have spaghetti with peas and ham in lef over tomato sauce from yesterday

Thursday - Take away as it is our wedding anniversary. The boys will have ham, egg and chips

Meal Plan Friday 11th March 2022

 Spring seems to be slowly springing into action. The garden much to my delight is coming back to life with the bulbs planted in the autumn about to come into flower. Friday - Sweet and Sour Chicken Saturday - Gammon, Egg and Chips Sunday - Toad in the Hole Monday - Fish, New Potatoes and veggies. Fishcakes for the boys. Tuesday - Chicken Curry Wednesday - Quorn Slices with mash and veggies Thursday - Fajita Pie. Wraps for the boys.

Mint is trying to take over the garden

I  am trying to tidy the garden up. We are a bit tight for money this month and I want to plant lots of bulbs. Instead I am tidying and keeping busy, let's be honest the garden is a weed haven and a total mess so I have a lot to do. Clearing this border however I have made a very important discovery. That mint is trying to take over the world, one border at a time. Two years ago I planted out a very sad and mainly dead supermarket mint plant. I did not think it was going to survive or the consequences of my naive action. It did survive and it did grow and grow. I then cleared the border down that year and the next it came back stronger. This year it was at its finest. Now admittedly I did just let it grow. The children loved the smell as did I. They were picking it, making mud pies with it, it was a source of fun. Then the flowers came out and the bees and pollinators were in heaven the whole border was alive, I had to keep it. I have now dug it u...
