Meal Plan Friday 12th October 2018

We have another busy weekend and week coming up. We have ATM party with his school friends but I am sharing this with two wonderful Mums who I get on so well with and its been so much easier and nice to have a messenger group we can share the stress with and go through the plans. Then we also have Mr MC&W birthday, where the family are all over for lunch.

School next week is busy with end of term presentations and national book week dressing up.

Please hand wine and a lot of it

Friday - Ready meal for Mr MC&W and I. The boys are having ham, eggs and waffles.

Saturday - Treat for Mr MC&W is steak followed by cheese. It is the party day so it will be party food. 

Sunday - Family over so doing two tray bakes.... the chicken one I am adding new potatoes and chickpeas to and doing a large salad. Little cooking for me. The boys are having pizza again (not well planned by me, but they love pizza)

Monday - After a weekend of excess Gino Healthy Italian - Neapolitan rice pasta for Mr MC&W and I. The boys will have pasta with cheese and ham and peas

Tuesday - Tuna Pasta bake - lots of courgettes, peppers and mushrooms. Less of the veg for the boys.

Wednesday - Moroccan chicken with lentils. Tomato soup for the boys

Meal Plan Friday 11th March 2022

 Spring seems to be slowly springing into action. The garden much to my delight is coming back to life with the bulbs planted in the autumn about to come into flower. Friday - Sweet and Sour Chicken Saturday - Gammon, Egg and Chips Sunday - Toad in the Hole Monday - Fish, New Potatoes and veggies. Fishcakes for the boys. Tuesday - Chicken Curry Wednesday - Quorn Slices with mash and veggies Thursday - Fajita Pie. Wraps for the boys.

Mint is trying to take over the garden

I  am trying to tidy the garden up. We are a bit tight for money this month and I want to plant lots of bulbs. Instead I am tidying and keeping busy, let's be honest the garden is a weed haven and a total mess so I have a lot to do. Clearing this border however I have made a very important discovery. That mint is trying to take over the world, one border at a time. Two years ago I planted out a very sad and mainly dead supermarket mint plant. I did not think it was going to survive or the consequences of my naive action. It did survive and it did grow and grow. I then cleared the border down that year and the next it came back stronger. This year it was at its finest. Now admittedly I did just let it grow. The children loved the smell as did I. They were picking it, making mud pies with it, it was a source of fun.
