Meal Plan Friday 8th March 2019

Time is just flying past at the moment and yet again I am late with the meal plan for this week.

Lots of simple and easy dishes for us this week

Friday - Easy Chicken Burritos. Boys having sandwiches as having quorn burgers at school

Saturday - Lamb Burgers for Mr MC&W and I the boys wanted pizza

Herby lamb burgers with beetroot mayo

Sunday - The Busy Mum Cookbook homemade lasagna for us all. Its a bit of work but amazing.

Monday - Smoked Paprika paella with Cod and Peas

Smoked paprika paella cod peas

Tuesday - Spinach and Courgette Fritata from Gions Healthy Italian. The boys will have omelets

Wednesday - Bacon and Mushroom Pasta

Bacon and mushroom pasta

Thursday - Thai Chicken Noodles

  1. All sounds yum. I'd be curious to hear about the lasagne. Let's see if it's easier to do than all the faff and prep we go through when we are making one!

    1. its a lot of work but tastes amazing, made the mince on sat and put it in the slow cooker and then sunday just had the white sauce and build to do xxx

Meal Plan Friday 11th March 2022

 Spring seems to be slowly springing into action. The garden much to my delight is coming back to life with the bulbs planted in the autumn about to come into flower. Friday - Sweet and Sour Chicken Saturday - Gammon, Egg and Chips Sunday - Toad in the Hole Monday - Fish, New Potatoes and veggies. Fishcakes for the boys. Tuesday - Chicken Curry Wednesday - Quorn Slices with mash and veggies Thursday - Fajita Pie. Wraps for the boys.

Mint is trying to take over the garden

I  am trying to tidy the garden up. We are a bit tight for money this month and I want to plant lots of bulbs. Instead I am tidying and keeping busy, let's be honest the garden is a weed haven and a total mess so I have a lot to do. Clearing this border however I have made a very important discovery. That mint is trying to take over the world, one border at a time. Two years ago I planted out a very sad and mainly dead supermarket mint plant. I did not think it was going to survive or the consequences of my naive action. It did survive and it did grow and grow. I then cleared the border down that year and the next it came back stronger. This year it was at its finest. Now admittedly I did just let it grow. The children loved the smell as did I. They were picking it, making mud pies with it, it was a source of fun. Then the flowers came out and the bees and pollinators were in heaven the whole border was alive, I had to keep it. I have now dug it u...
